AbstractMethods and tools that perform the analysis and the automatic monitoring of environments are increasingly needed due the growing presence of video recording devices. This work aims to extract some relevant features of forensic scenes, performing summarization only in the relevant data. The proposed methods aim to detect and analyze motion, face detection and recognition, perform the tracking of human faces and recognition of predominant color in the clothing of individuals. The results are comparable to the ones found in the literature and may contribute to the fast extraction of information needed for human analysis, to assist in the interpretation and documenting the results.
